The President's Message

Spring Has Finally Arrived (to most areas of the country, anyway)

It is the time of year to begin thinking about - among other things - all the great training opportunities and events happening in the very near future.

During May and June, most Hearth Distributors will present their "Dealer Days", which offer great opportunities for manufacturers or industry trainers to offer their services in the local markets. Also, Regional Chapters of HPBAC often give local Hearth, BBQ and Patio Dealers the chance to come out for a day or two of learning, networking and fun.

Among the Regional events are:

HPBAC is working with Gord Cooke from Air Solutions to develop a sales course designed specifically for our industry. This course will be offered as part of the Ontario Education Days this summer and may be offered at EXPO 2006 in Salt Lake City.

NEW PROGRAMS!

We are proud to announce that our two new HPBAC Member Benefit programs are ready-to-go!

The HPBAC Insurance program is managed by Canada Brokerlink. You can contact Tim Withey at 1-800-263-6976 or twithey@brokerlink.ca This long-awaited program helps solve one of the most pressing issues for Hearth Retailers today. It has already helped several of our members save thousands of dollars, so find out more. Here's what two of our satisfied members had to say . . .

"Not only did it save me a pile of money but I got E & O coverage as well. In fact, even with adding the E & O and a new location, I still saved $3000."
- Marty Staz, The Country Stove, Port Carling, ON

"The program's coverage versus the local market was very competitive and is tailored to our industry. We saved about 25%. We're very pleased."
- Larry Code, Fireplaces Unlimited, Kinsgston, ON

HPBAC's Financing program is managed by Citi Financial. It will give Hearth Dealers an easy-to-use program for sales on credit at competitive prices. For more info, contact Laura Litchfield at 1-800-792-5284 or hpac@on.aibn.com.
