EnerGuide for Gas Fireplaces UpdateThe Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) in conjunction with its partners, the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association of Canada (HPBAC) and Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN), along with numerous stakeholders including gas utilities and hearth manufacturers participating in the EnerGuide program, have developed a Pocket Guide also known as a z-card for use as a "point of sale" tool when speaking with consumers who are considering purchasing a vented gas fireplace. HPBAC member retailers and distributors will have received several EnerGuide Pocket Guides in a recent mailing from HPBAC. The guides are to be used as a reference tool by sales representatives . The objective of the EnerGuide program is to increase awareness among Canadian of EnerGuide efficiency ratings so they can be used effectively as part of the purchase decision. Ratings for those manufacturers who have submitted their testing numbers to NRCan are now available on the NRCan website. |
